Gorgeous gold earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Each earring is crafted in 14kt yellow gold and is beautifully decorated with delicate Etruscan wirework and beadwork. The earrings have a 3-dimensional design, and hang from a round surmount which is attached at the top to the earring wire. Draping over the elongated central link is a fabulous and unique wishbone-shaped disc that dangles beautifully with every movement. Two gold teardrop shaped links hang from each end of the disc, along with an additional link that swings with lovely movement at the tip of the central link. These hollow earring are lightweight for comfortable wear, and would look marvelous worn day or night!
Measurements: Each earring hangs?approximately 2 1/4" long,?is 3/4" at the?widest point and 3/8" in depth.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the gold, wirework/beadwork detail or?to the earring wires. There are a few minor dents in the gold in the back of the earrings however this isn't noticeable when they're worn. The surface of the gold, surrounding the wirework design, has some natural patina which adds to the richness of the earrings.
